Background:
SKIN by Dermalab is a hypoallergenic skincare line developed by dermatologists at The Mayo Clinic. The product line was originally marketed under the name Dermalab exclusively to physician practices, and the parent company was prepared to expand the sales strategy to additional markets.


Objective:

Dermalab was looking to reposition the product line to the consumer market for distribution at retail and on-line, while also reintroducing the product line to the physician marketplace, ideally generating physician referrals and product placements in the physician offices.

  • Created a portfolio of products, each named in a clean, simple manner with humorous packaging and usage instructions for the consumer.
  • Produced a brochure to re-introduce the product line to physician practices and provided a tracking mechanism to benchmark the responses.
  • Developed a transactional web site for consumer/physician purchasing, with tips and clinical data on skin care authored by respected dermatologists.
